Video of the “Great Potential” series shows a group of people watching a demolition of buildings in Czech Republic. The implosion appears to go as intended, but out of nowhere, a fast flying bounder propelled by the explosion whizzes through the air, missing a couple by mere inches and grazing the author of the video in the arm.

Nobody saw that boulder coming. It hurled at them at such high velocity, there was little in terms of reaction anyone could do. If it hit the girl in the head, we’d be watching a video of brain matter landing on the camera’s lens.

Also, the boulder changed direction after it bounced off the ground. If it didn’t, it would have hit the guy in red who was so focused on his video recording gadget, he wouldn’t know what the heck hit him.

Props to Best Gore member Yochan for the video. It reminded me of this out of nowhere brick, only in their case, somebody got actually hit in the head:

Two Egyptian cops were killed after a bomb exploded in their faces. The bomb was placed near the Presidential Palace in Cairo. The cops were reportedly trying to defuse the bomb when it suddenly detonated.

From the video it appears as though there was only one police officer working on the explosives. He was wearing no body or head armor. Then a pair of men walked up to him and one of them distracted him by striking a conversation. That’s when the bomb exploded. Nothing like distracting a man who’s trying to diffuse a bomb. I guess the distractor didn’t get a chance to learn his lesson cause he was killed too.

The bombs – three of them – were reportedly placed near Egyptian government targets by a newly emerged Islamist militant group Ajnad Misr (Soldiers of Egypt). The group declared its intention to attack government targets, but decided to remove the bombs for fear that civilians would be harmed too. Their intent apparently failed as was revealed in a statement released by Ajnad Misr on June 27, 2014. The statement described where the bombs were planted and warned the public to be cautious around these areas. Ajnad Misr said they tried to remove the bombs themselves but were unable to do it for unspecified reasons.

From what I hear, the Thais love them some fireworks and look for any opportunity to light the fuses. I can respect that, even though aside from metal shows, I tend to shy away from loud social events but to each their own.

A ceremony of some kind was being held outdoors and the fireworks and firecrackers were probably going strong by the time this accident occurred and killed the 57 year old man who then became his own firework, an explosion of gore for all to see. Wouldn’t it be some shit if that was the first firework of the ceremony? Do you think that would have killed the whole event? Probably not, we here at Best Gore know the Thais well.

Another reminder why you never look inside a gun or explosive that misfires. How many times have we seen this? People never learn. That’s why we exist, to shove this hard truth in your face. Be responsible or you will end up here at Best Gore!

From what I understand, this man was constructing some kind of fireworks display when it misfired. So, as anyone without proper training would do, he stuck his face in the hole to see what the problem was. And it was the last thing he ever did, because the explosive discharged at that moment and hit him square in the forehead. Ripping the flesh and punching into the skull, killing him instantly. Some fragments of the skull were found as far as 30m away.

The heat was so intense that the powder has been “tattooed” on his face. Medical instruments peeling back the torn flesh to reveal the skull and what looks like a hole. Looks like the cover of a Grindcore album or something.

CCTV video from the Ukraine appears to show a man playing with a hand grenade until it goes off and tears him apart. I have no idea if this was a successful suicide attempt, or if he blew himself up by accident, but from the beginning of the video, you can see him struggling to pull the pin out.

The pin gave him a bit of a hard time, but his struggling to engage the grenade appears to show conscious effort to turn it into a deadly weapon.

Or maybe he was a wannabe suicide bomber, cause toward the end of the video, it looks like he was trying to tuck the grenade under his coat and hide it there. Whatever it is he was doing, he obviously messed. Unless the goal was indeed to commit suicide by grenade.

An Egyptian bomb disposal officer was killed earlier today while attempting to diffuse an IED left near a gas station in Giza. We saw similarly unsuccessful bomb diffusal attempt by the Egyptians a few months ago.

I’m surprised they still send officers to deal with suspected bombs, especially in a country like Egypt, now that radio controlled robots are widely available. Unless in Egypt, human life is worth less than a bot…

LOL at the guy watching the man in the bomb suit from behind a gas pump acting like he was perfectly safe there. And nevermind the drivers passing by honking their horns – that’s got to help the guy to concentrate while he’s risking his life to save other lives and property.
